A quick breakdown:

Original Medicare: Part A – Hospital Coverage (think you are admitted), Part B: Medical Office/ Outpatient. Part D prescription drug plan. You can just have Medicare alone, or you can have Medicare Coverage with a Medicare Supplement/Medigap Plan to help “fill in the gaps.”

Medicare Advantage: Includes Hospital Coverage + Medical Office. Some plans include dental, prescription, vision, and gym memberships.

Original Medicare: Best coverage if you have several severe health conditions and/or if you frequently have hospital/doctor visits. Medical Supplements = more options on Hospitals.

Medicare Advantage plans: Best plan for if overall healthy and taking preventative measures to stay healthy. Pay attention to in-network / out-of-network

You can not have Medicare with a supplement and a Medicare Advantage Plan all at the same time. This will kick the other insurance out when the insurance tries to pay their part on claims, and you will actually pay more in claims and spend more monthly.
